Answer 3 for HRM 635 How can the organization’s leadership support individuals seeking to relocate laterally or advance their careers by moving into a position of higher authority within their organization?

As a mentor, leaders can offer meaningful opportunities and support for educational attainment for professional growth (Gilsdorf et al., 2017). An organization can help an individual tp advance their career by offering training sessions, mentoring programs, and shadowing dates. Through regular conversations about job performance and personal goals, managers or HR staff may find the best move is to move to another department. It is important to remember that not all employees are the same. Supporting and facilitating moves that benefit the personal career goals of the most promising employees is beneficial for the good of the whole company. Helping employees make moves that are good for their personal skills and goals sends an important message to the entire workforce. When a company ionvests in their employees, it also shows that they care to train and help other employees advance their career.  Managers who do not support this type of support for their employees risk undermining the employee, and thus creating a sense of defeat, or lowered morale, and this in turn affects productivity and employee engagement (Half, 2023) Allowing people to thrive in roles that are suited to their personalities and skills is better for the ecosystem of the company.
